Song, Story & the Wild Well Five days and four nights to return to your inner well of creativity. There are old stories that speak of sacred wells — places where the waters rise from deep within the earth, carrying wisdom, inspiration and the possibility of transformation. The ancient Celtic tradition knew the power of story. Of the bard. Of the woman who remembers. Of words carried from one generation to the next through song, poetry, myth and memory. This retreat is an invitation to return to that place. To step out of the noise of everyday life and enter the wild Welsh mountains, where the landscape itself becomes part of the story. The Bard Within In Celtic tradition, the bard was more than a poet. The bard was a keeper of stories, a carrier of memory, a bridge between the human and the more-than-human world. This retreat draws inspiration from that ancient relationship between land, story, song and the imagination. Through song, story, reflection and meditation, we'll explore what happens when we give ourselves permission to listen differently. You don't need to know what you're writing before you arrive. You don't need to have the answers. You don't even need to think of yourself as a 'Writer'. You simply need to bring your curiosity, your imagination and a willingness to follow the story where it wants to lead. Food from the Hearth - Food, like story, is one of the oldest ways we gather We'll share delicious, home-cooked vegetarian food — nourishing, seasonal and prepared with care. All meals are included.
