'May Day' | Sussex Beltane Pilgrimage

🌿🔥 Beltane Pilgrimage: Wild Joy 🔥🌿 Join Maxime and Emily on Saturday 2nd May at a sacred site in West Sussex to honour the turning of the season. Beltane is an ancient seasonal festival marking the midpoint between spring and summer — a time rooted in old Celtic traditions that honour fire, fertility, and the full blossoming of life. As the land reaches her lushness and warmth returns, it has long been celebrated as a threshold — where blossom becomes fruit, where life begins to overflow, and where the spark of creation is felt both in the earth and within ourselves. As spring reaches her fullness and the land hums with life, we gather at this ancient threshold. At a time when so much feels uncertain, these old ways — honouring the land, the seasons, the cycles that have always carried us — can hold us, steady us, and bring us home. Through story, ritual, movement, and celebration, we will walk the land together — listening, remembering, reconnecting. We’ll weave flower crowns, create a mandala with the gifts of the earth, and connect with ourselves, each other and the stories of this time and the land. We will tend the fire of Beltane — both around us and within us. The spark of joy. The pulse of aliveness. The quiet courage to be fully here. This day is held as a joyful and accessible space for all — an invitation to come as you are. Children are welcome to join and this event is free to those under 16. Together let's wander and awaken. Feel the land beneath our feet.
